November Ideas

Turkey Glyph

My friend, Deanna Jump, came up with this adorable soldier idea in honor of Veterans' Day.

It's an innovation on the TLC Police Officer.

We painted toilet paper rolls, added beans and feathers, and stapled them together to make Indian shakers.

We read, Pilgrim Children had Many Chores, and then brainstormed the same chores the children have today. I used the TLC Pilgrim and Indian and made them larger.

The big book reads: "Indian children had many chores.  They had to ______. Just like me!"

TLC Scarecrow (I made him larger)

Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey

It's a pattern that I see.

Your feathers make a pattern

It's AB that I see.

Turkeys in disguise!

"We grew corn in the fall.  We grew pumpkins in the fall. . ."

The Indian is from TLC.  I just made him larger.

My daughter's class made these adorable handprints.
